Tips for Self Care for your Inner Child:
1. Honor and validate your triggers. They are your body's defense mechanism. Write them down and work through them with your preferred form of healing.
2. Create the boundaries you feel you deserved as a child, the protection the adults and elders in your life didn't have the tools or awareness to give you.
3. Purchase that cute children's book you saw at that one store- Sulwe by Lupita Nyong'o is a great one. Watch more animated movies- Over the moon on Netflix is a personal favorite of mine.
Self Care for your Inner Child is a workshop that I had the pleasure of debuting at the 2021 Womxn of Color Summit! We had an amazing experience together and I got to connect with some amazing folx. I am planning to facilitate this workshop again before the end of 2021 and I am also open to working with collectives who need this support as a form of team building.
